Mount Pleasant Cemetery

This cemetery has an ironic name. Located in Canastota, Mt. Pleasant Cemetery is anything but pleasant. The graveyard goes back to 1799 and still being used today. Two fellow investigators and I went here for the first time in 2005. Just the three of us sat here in the dark watching and waiting. We didn't have to wait long. About 5 minutes went by when we got here and we started to hear footsteps, things moving in the darkness, and had a forboding feeling creep around us. One investigator had something touch her leg. and myself and another investigator heard twigs snapping as if someone was behind us. It's just one hell of a creepy cemetery. The second time we were here, we had two more investigators here (a total of 5). We saw the same things moving in the total darkess, and heard the footsteps in this graveyard. Everytime I came here I got that feeling like we shouldn't be there. Earlyer this year a bunch of us went to Mt. Pleasant cemetry for the final time...again, I got this creepy feeling that we weren't the only ones in this cemetery. I found out a few days later that two guys in our group caught an EVP that sounded like "bring back devil worshiping". Well Our case manager didn't like that so we all promised that we'd never go back into Mt Pleasant Cemetery again....EVER!

The Walnut Grove Cemetery

This is the Walnut Grove Cemetery. one of my favorite haunted cemeteries in this area. This cemetery is over 150 years old having being founded in 1855. The first time I was here was back in April 2004. I walked in and I did an EVP here. I asked questions like " how old are you?" and "can you say your name?" I recieved an EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) of an Indian drum...like the kind they use in pow wows. But the drum was recorded over my voice. Since then I have been here 13 times, and I have recorded so many EVP's here. My best friend and I have been here numerous times and we've heard church bells here. the nearest church is 1/2 mile away. I have felt cold spots here and seen shadows move, as well as hearing footsteps here as well. There is a flowery smell associated here and there's no flowers. I have ghost reports here every time I come here. and will get more when I return.

The Oneida Community Mansion House

The Oneida Community Mansion. This is the biggest place I have been to so far. It was built in 1861. The place measures 93,000 square feet and has three floors. This place is said to be haunted as well. It was built for the Oneida Community religious utopia founded in 1848 by John
Humphreys Noyes. As the Community grew to 250 people, so didn't the Mansion. It was built in several stages between 1861 and 1914. It has rooms you can rent for a price and it is also a private residence here as well. I took photos here and I saw an orb in motion through my camera LCD screen in the assembly room. I also saw a shadow move quickly in the basement of the 141-year-old mansion.
